Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 12, 2026. We've designed this site to collect as little information as possible. There is no account system, no signup, no email collection. Your merit count is saved only in your browser — never on our servers.
1. Information we collect
Stored in your browser only. We use your browser's localStorage to remember two things:
- Your daily merit count (which resets at midnight in your local time zone)
- Your sound preference (on or off)
This data lives on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers, and we cannot read it.
Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically logs basic information about each visit:
- IP address
- Browser type and version (User-Agent)
- The page you accessed
- Referring URL (if any)
- Date and time of access
These logs are typically kept for around 30 days and are used for security, debugging, and aggregate traffic statistics. They are not used to track individual visitors.
2. How we use information
We use the limited information described above to:
- Operate the site (so that, for example, your merit count is preserved between visits on the same device)
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security threats
- Understand aggregate traffic patterns — total visits, country distribution, popular pages
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Cookies and local storage
Local storage (essential). As described in section 1, we use localStorage to save your merit count and sound preference. You can clear this at any time via your browser settings.
Cookies. We currently set no first-party cookies.
Third-party advertising cookies. This site may, in the future, display advertisements through Google AdSense. When that is enabled:
- Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites
- You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings

4. Third-party services
Cloudflare hosts this site and routes traffic through their global content delivery network. Cloudflare processes basic request data as described in their Privacy Policy.
Google AdSense (if and when enabled) collects and processes data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Children's privacy
This site is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your information.
For EU and UK residents (GDPR): right to access information we hold about you, right to request correction or deletion, right to restrict or object to processing, right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
For California residents (CCPA): right to know what personal information is collected, right to delete personal information, right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we don't sell information), and right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
Because we collect almost nothing tied to you personally, exercising these rights is usually straightforward:
- To delete your local data: clear your browser's local storage for this site, or use your browser's "Clear browsing data" feature
- To stop being included in server logs: stop visiting the site (logs auto-expire in around 30 days)

7. International users
This site is operated from outside the European Union. By using this site, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may not have the same data protection laws as your home country.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be noted at the top of this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
